Natives can’t wait to try out new American disorder

Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED), the latest-greatest American imaginary disease, promises to find a huge following in the Federal Republic of Germany. The natives are planning on calling it Wutsyndrom (fury syndrome) here and volunteers are voluntarily trying it out all over the country already in a voluntary manner, despite the fact that it is still only in beta testing in the US. Well, at least the folks in my apartment building seem to have volunteered to try it out.

It appears that over 16 million Americans already imagine that they have this disorder. Typical IED victims suddenly flip out unaccountably and start screaming and breaking stuff and going completely ape poo-poo, very similar to the way “pissed off” and “stressed out” and “just plain mean” people used to do in the past. Interestingly enough (not), studies have concluded that those who suffer under these new, inexplicable attacks have them on the average of 43 times during the course of their lifetimes – which can sometimes end up being quite short.

But hope is on the way. A new imaginary therapy is also being developed. Scientists have discovered that if IED victims are allowed to start screaming and breaking stuff and going completely ape poo-poo in a controlled environment, they feel a whole lot better afterwards and are no longer a danger to society. For awhile anyway.

Ich koche ja vor Wutsyndrom!

1 - I always thought it was therpeutic to smash old bottles into the glass-recycling bin (Altglascontainer). Anyway, it always cheered _me_ up. (Comment this)

3 - I want to upgrade this to Tollwutsyndrom. I'm 90% positive I imagined myself suffering from this while watching the USA play in the WM today... (Comment this)

...and it's great knowing there is finally a name for my disorder! (Comment this)
