1 - I wouldn't mind graffiti so much if they made a statement, something political or witty or whatever. But all it is these days is tagging. That's the crown you saw. In HH there's this psycho in his late-50s who called himself OZ - tags under a different name these days - who's been hauled in and out of jail several times. They figure he's tagged over 150-thousand spots in this city, millions of dollars in damage. I'm usually for live and let live, but there's a limit, you know? Lock him up and throw away the spray can. Same goes for those pricks who tag on S-Bahn windows. That's impossible to clean up. (Comment this)

2 - ian in hamburg, yes i agree, some narrative is good. I once saw the word "Sorry!" scrawled under a railway bridge, as if they were apologising for their graffiti even in the very act of doing it. On the same track "BE COOL, BUT CARE" has always stuck with me. Another I remember "Sweet is the Lord, and so am I". And written in pencil on the side of a train window in the corner of the train I sat in every night "I need your moral support" which I have always suspected was aimed at me. (Comment this)

3 - I like the one I saw in Oslo in 1995:
"Wake up and smell the fish!" (Comment this)
