Entrepreneur?

Sure. Not here in Germany. In comparison to the rest of the world, Germans are particularly shy when it comes to opening their own businesses.

One international analysis indicates that only 1.4 percent of Germans are currently considering founding their own company. Some 2.4 percent actually did so sometime during the past three years. Of the 18 countries analyzed, only Belgium did worse.

„Damit belegt Deutschland laut IAB innerhalb von 18 vergleichbar entwickelten Ländern den vorletzten Platz. Besonders viele Firmengründer gebe es demnach in den USA, Schlusslicht sei Belgien.“

This is extremely interesting and comports both with my knowledge of Germans and my reading of the country’s history. The culture is, it seems to me, fairly regimented when it comes to things like social interactions, risk averse, and little interested in initiative. That doesn’t seem like a good breeding ground for an entrepreneurial spirit. Thanks for posting this.

I hope that all is well with you.

I`m not sure as to what to think about this piece of news. To me, it smells like just another piece of Anglo-Saxon neoliberal atrocity propaganda. Stop worrying about us.
